Parsons Green, family home
Amy worked closely alongside her clients as they and the architectural practice of Pascal Huser took the house back to its bones, restoring period features and adding a stunning new kitchen extension, overlooking a large garden for this part of London.
In the north facing drawing room, Amy added sheer linen panels instead of shutters and beaten bronze mirrors to maximise the natural light in the space. Veere Grenney fabric on the curtains hangs softly on a simple lathe to bring out the meticulously restored cornice.
Amy added fabrics, lighting and wallpapers throughout and on the five metre long garden bench, worked closely with Christopher Farr Cloth to treat a much loved indoor fabric to be suitable for the perils of outdoor dining in the UK.
We love collaborating with our clients and a favourite memory from this project was working with our client’s then 11 year old daughter as her choice of a Barnaby Gates lemon fabric swept our imagination off to the Amalfi Coast. She then replicated this design in miniature for her mice dolls. We are waiting for the moment she can come and help us in the Studio full time!
