battersea, Family home
Amy worked closely with architects and builders to make every centimetre of space earn its keep in this home near Battersea Park. Working within the constraints of a conservation area, the facade is the only original feature to remain.
The result is an elegant, uncluttered space for a busy young family with different zones to spread out - whether its so the children and their friends can surround the piano housed in built in joinery in the middle sitting room or for them to escape to the back garden and kill some energy on the built in trampoline. Out of site the long utility room bears the brunt of the hard work housing areas for clothes washing and drying and sufficient storage for the growing collection of tennis, cricket and golf bags. In spite of the busy occupants there is a space to escape each evening to unwind by the fire in a grown up and peaceful space, something Amy is very grateful for as this is her own home!
